AMES24 Location
The event will be held at the Aula Magna (Enric Casassas Room), at the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry Faculty from the University of Barcelona. The most convenient access point is through the Atrium Solar, the large courtyard at the center of the faculty. However, regardless of the entrance you use, there will be signage to guide you, and staff members will be available to provide directions as needed.
Travel
While in Barcelona, you can use Taxi, Bus, Tram, Underground and Regional trains to move throughout the city. Find your connection here.
Barcelona is very well connected by public transportation (metro, buses, tram and train). The most used public transportation cards, which include metro, train, buses and tram, are:
- T-casual (12,15€): 10 rides with all public transports. It does not include travel to and from the airport.
- T-usual (21,35€): unlimited travel with all public transports within the city for 30 days. It does include travel to and from the airport.
- Ticket to and from the airport (5,50€+5,50€= 11€)
Since t-casual does not include the airport, and in case you want to go sightseeing in Barcelona, we usually recommend T-usual to visitors.
The closest metro stop to the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry is Palau Reial (L3), or you can alternatively take Tram (Stop Palau Reial, all T1, T2 and T3 lines stop there). The main entrance to the Physics and Chemistry Faculty is in front of Palau Reial metro stop.

Lunch
Lunch will not be covered by the AMES24 event. Lunch can be taken at any of the closest canteens to the Faculty of Physics and Chemistry. Here have a detailed list of options (indicated in pink with the corresponding number in the map), located at ~100m - 200m from the conference venue,
